This is one of those sites where you just don't know which stamp to choose, they are all so cute!  It was hard, but I decided to go with this cute little girl cause I love her shy demeanor, and all that hair!!  Her name is Bashful Buttons & Bows Boo:

I chose to go with a green theme.  I love me some green.  I know a lot of people would grab the pinks, purples, reds or grays, well for me it's green.  I think it's a color that doesn't get a lot of love and there are so many cool shades of it.  Here are the layers: Tsumugi Hiwa cardstock (Although it looks like white or ivory that color is actually a little more celery green when you get to the center of the celery stalk (hahaha, sorry that's all I could think of to compare the color to)), green patterned paper from DCWV Emerald Garden stack, sheer green polka dot ribbon, green button, green/silver floss, Sizzix Thinlit doily die with Tsumugi Hiwa cs, dark green felt rosette (CC Cutters) & green burlap leaves. Little Miss BBB Boo is colored with Copics and her buttons have diamond glaze on them.

Alrighty, hope you'll make some time to play, you've got the next two weeks.  For all the challenge rules click HERE.  Thanks so much for stopping by today.  Have a terrific Aloha Friday!

Panda Heart

Morning!

Today's card features an adorable image called Panda Heart by Kireyanna.  I came across this image on deviantART while surfing the web and thought she was the cutest thing ever.  I went for a different color scheme and enjoyed the finished project.

Isn't she the cutest?  :D

Here are the layers: Kraft card, white cs matte, yellow cs matte, Heidi Grace Designs Sunshowers 6x6 paper pad.  (I'm excited that she now has 6x6 paper pads.  This one is really cute!)  I also used some new MFT die-namics (Little lower case letters & dainty bows).  Had fun coloring her up with really bright and warm colors.  Not my usual yea?  Well it was fun to be daring.  (lol)  Oh I almost forgot to add the googly eyes, no not her eyes, the one on her head! (haha)  Always fun to use those.

Coincidence, no not really.   hahaha...  I needed a little inspiration, and ya know these colors are pretty awesome together.

It's going to be another one of those weeks at work.  I hope you all have a fabulous week and get in some crafting time.  Me, I'll be lucky if I get to color anything.  I do have some things that I haven't posted yet so it's just a matter of me writing it up and scheduling it.  TT4N!!

Happy Birthday Super Star

Hello!

Popping in to share a card I made for my BIL's birthday...

I used the current sketch at MFT for the layout as well as the white frame die, banner and sentiment stamps (DC-First Place Sentiments).  Added some faux stitching with a white gel pen here and there to complete this CAS card.

Easy Valentine Day treats

Hello,

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.  For Valentine's Day I made a few easy no stress treats for my co-workers.  I went to Marukai and bought some fun caramel corn snacks that come pre-packaged in individual sizes.  They have really cute faces on the front and the actual snack melts in your mouth it's so ono! Below are the supplies I used:

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhUEzaZkGq5ExIwlSuXQyd-Bfv2irgynTjLXm2A3Ba2XZXtH6AxUmrR6-W9dB4Z2Tee_K3AYM4DiQD9CoWIcqbAKtNeKqIJHh6A5H-5QwbJBps4KXSXIhtNcTEAhB_La-TPPT8vNIpFvgY/w625-h469-no/CYMERA_20140214_064812

I forgot to take a picture of the MS heart border punch.  And here's what I made:

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpBWqdtivNCzyGogcDD_ram-wG5AnFZWf0wDxIFOLE4z9REwS31vgxBxCHb8e8KJXTLYh8J0w9Y_NGd3g7u1lJRD_iUE98wzJaSSoimGtCvUZOWJn5joMWd-36XmTeQG86la2374JHUZ8/w352-h469-no/

I also picked up some HK crackers, these are also ono, they are both salty and sweet with a nice crunch.  I made a small tag using the same Happy Heart Day sentiment stamp and a heart punch.

 https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh-gwN-coNGLEPhDOL4yRpicZWgIBDVzkw73Y1VO6EuRYI52ytyHQRoSLk7Z2Far_gVVQsJck0izWRSfbOjPS6TxbcgC_pJ6ysKZrZtR2zCZAA9N9o8Qprrtl8IZFHcdHb-mVYVXid8Pe0/w468-h469-no/CYMERA_20140222_114005

You can barely see the HK image here, it was really hard to get a good shot without getting a glare from the cellophane.  Anyhoos, my co-workers were happy to receive these, yes they are spoiled! hahaha

The cool thing about these projects was how easy it was to dress up the already cute packaging.  These could be done with any theme you just need to find some cute treats. >.<

Have a great weekend!!

Leanne

LFF #67 - Purple & Gold for Sesame Bijoux

Happy Aloha Friday!

It's been too long since my last Lilo's Fun Friday so I thought I'd kick off the weekend with this card I made back in November for my friend Jenny for her birthday.  She loves her some purple.  The only thing that I'm surprised is not purple is her car which is red.  The other thing she likes is lots of sparkle.  For her card I chose purple colors with a splash of gold and some beautiful washi paper from Hanko Designs.  For my centerpiece I chose the always popular Miyoko from Sister Stamps

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMZzoeaVLziFkA8Sv1G6f3LjdM-yHxMrrS_1CNcJFyk0o1uauHKsXtZDvz1N5hJCdpk0nfJpG9shsMaAD5J3nOq6dnpIxs34pSsNd5tZDpPM2qE9jjslvq17MMN_S-d1NxinlnxAOgMDE/w745-h771-no/CYMERA_20131113_131333.jpg

It's a big card, had to be to fit that doily!  (hahaha)  Now, the details or layers... Dark purple card, lavender cardstock, washi paper, gold doily, dark purple circle, washi paper circle, a lavender die cut doily, Island Scrapbooking sentiment, MIC Laser Chipboard corners and of course Miyoko.  The chipboard corners and the Happy Birthday sentiment were both colored with Copic markers to match the dark purple cardstock. I also used Copics to color Miyoko.

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqRKn4qtuBEk7UfiS8ky64dAi7VX68m1LDTnNcsw1pFLshg6QIgFYi1S4gIXATXVrN_5O-YPR9AwHk9Jxjmq5iuH3m_ry54Rsj2s3gNeiW0FMIooKnqXsGkTqrUjLgGxqPf5f1MPjg48w/w795-h737-no/CYMERA_20131113_132250.jpg

This shot shows the gold on the doily as well as the gold in Miyoko's kimono (which happens to be paper-pieced.)  Now the secret of that gold doily is that it was actually white to begin with.  Yes, I used this awesome new product (at least to me) from Viva Decor Inka Gold.  I bought it from Joann's and it comes in all kinds of awesome colors.  Yes you can use your coupon to buy it and I have to say, it's pretty awesome.  I bought some other colors and cannot wait to play with them. I will have to figure out where that doily die is from, I want to say Sizzix, but I can't find the link to one, so I will update that one later.  Oh and if you're wondering where I added the glitter, well to the cupcake of course! :)

I hope today's share, although late, was worth the wait. ;)  Have a terrific Friday and a great weekend!!

Update: Here is the link to the Sizzix Thinlits die I used.

Lilo

Happy Birthday Renate'!!

Hello!!

Guess what?  Today's Ms. Renate's (aka Yumi) birthday and there is a big surprise for her over on the Yumi & Fumi Handmade blog.  Yep the team twisted my arm to keep me from saying anything and yes they wheedled and pleaded for me to give them some time to take over the blog ONE. LAST. TIME.  How could I say no?!  I'm so totally kidding, they asked and of course I said yes!  It's for a totally good reason.  All the fun starts HERE.

This card was inspired by some of the recent pictures she's been sharing on her FB page.  If you don't know, she loves all sorts of KAWAII things and one of them happens to be My Little Pony.  So I went searching on the internet for this kawaii Rainbow Dash colored image.  Yay! I'm half way done with my card!  I thought pairing him up with Yumicorn was perfect!  Colored her up to try to match him, all the way down to the rainbow colored tuft of hair.  I added some clouds in the background to give the card more depth.   The sentiment was computer generated and I fussy cut it in to the shape of a cloud.   Wanted to do something fun on the inside and found another perfect Rainbow Dash image, all I did was add another sentiment...

Perfect right?!  I hope she likes it.

Rena, I hope you have a beautiful day full of love, laughs, smiles and sunshine.  Happy Happy Birthday girlfren!! Enjoy your special surprises today! Love ya lots!!

Now head on over to the Yumi & Fumi blog to see what the two teams had up their sleeve and leave them some love, they schemed, I mean worked really hard to keep this a SECRET.  hahaha!  Then head on over to Renate's blog to wish her a happy birthday.  If you're her friend on FB then definitely leave a message there.

Have a fantastic day and if you're also celebrating... Happy Birthday!  You're in really good company. :)

Hugs,
Leanne

A CAS Thank you card

Hello,

Today's card is a CAS one I made for one of my co-workers who's last day was Friday.  I used the current Deconstructed Sketch (#137) for the layout and some older pattern papers from MME (Darling Dear).  The papers were masculine and fun and I liked that I had a sketch to follow.  With a few Spellbinders, embossing folders and a cool stamp I was able to create this pretty cool card.

Besides papers from the MME paper pad I used kraft & white cardstock.  Used a regular black pen to add some faux stitching to the banner and the smaller circle.  Now I know it's not polite to point, but in this case it's ok.  The stamp is part of an MME clear stamp set I recently found in my stash.  (score!)  There are some other cool stamps in the set that I plan to use.  (For anyone interested the set is called Lost & Found 3 - "Ruby".)  Yes, I did distress some of the papers to give it more color and last I popped on a laser cut die sentiment from Island Scrapbooking.

Thanks for stopping by today.  Hope you have a fabulous weekend!

Hugs,
L

Kitty Bee Designs - Monday Spotlight

Morning everyone!

Thank you all so much for the wonderful comments on my last post for the KBD blog hop.  You're all too kind.  If you haven't been by the KBD blog or the Etsy store then you're missing out on the new February release.  For all the details and a chance to win a digital image from the new release make sure to head on over to the KBD blog where it all begins.

With today being the first Monday of the month that means spotlight time for me on the Kitty Bee Designs blog!  Today I get to share another project featuring an adorable image from the Etsy store

Now my project is a baby girl card I made for my co-worker and his wife, who happens to be an ex co-worker of mine.  They recently had a little girl and this being their first baby I wanted to make something special that they could enjoy.  I'm using this sweet image, Balloon Flying Panda, because it seemed fitting for them.  If you knew where I work then you would understand why.

Had so much fun making this one.  Used a lot of textures to give it a little more dimension and fun.  The balloons are cut with dies from CC Designs as are the rosette and the clouds.  I used felt for the rosette and the clouds and colored burlap paper for the balloons.  The dp is a pretty light blue with white flowers from Prima (Meadow Lark).  I loved tate color of blue, reminded me of a sky with clouds.  Speaking of clouds I created some subtle ones right behind the panda with a stencil I made, Tumbled Glass distress ink and a Ranger sponge with a wooden handle.  Here's a close-up...

I added a gem to the center of the rosette and a spray of gems.  The white and silver twine is from Daiso and has a really pretty sparkle to it.  Here's another picture...

The Prima paper is pretty yea?  I finally cut in to it and glad I did.  I'm trying to use what I have as part of my crafting therapy.  (hahaha)  I matted it on to white cardstock on to pink shimmer cardstock and then on to a white card.  Here's a shot of the burlap balloons.  Love the bright colors, too bad it only comes in these four colors. And you'll see the sparkle in the twine...  Love it!

I had a lot of fun putting this one together using lots of textures.  So cute that she's flying through the air with only 4 balloons I added four more on the side for fun.  I think I chose the perfect image to showcase today.  Can't wait to give them this card.

Don't forget that we're having a blog hop for the new release.  You have until Friday, Feb 7th to hop around and comment for a chance to win a digi from the new release.

Mahalo for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Hugs,
Leanne
