A last FFF post... case'ing.....RACHEL!!!

Sorry everyone, this one is going to be a long one.  As I write this post I have mixed emotions.  I am sad because it is my last post as a Farm Fresh team member, but I'm also so happy and excited to share with you our last Farm Fresh Challenge post.  Sniff, sniff, sniff.  We were asked by our team captain, Rachel, to case someone from the DT.  It was so hard to pick any one card or even just one of the ladies.  If I had started earlier I would have tried to case a card from everyone!  Then Tasha came up with a brilliant idea.  Why don't we just case one of Rachel's cards?!  Problem solved!!  Well partially...  Since we were all so happy to do that it was next a challenge for us to pick a card to case, she has too many awesome cards to choose from.  To see which card each of the ladies chose head on over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  You will not want to miss it!

As I was scrolling through her fantastic blog, drooling over her beautiful creations I found one that really made me think of her.  Here's the card I chose which she posted as her favorite holiday which happens to be Halloween:
Spooky with Halo Devil Anya by Rachel Schneider
Isn't this just the cutest card?  I love her colors and her beautiful coloring of Halo She-Devil Anya.  The colors are so Halloweeny and the papers are just fantastic.  So I went with my favorite image , Fleur Anya and some bright fun colors and made this...

Thanks - Fleur Anya
The colors made me happy, and the papers are so fun.  That huge flower was a great find at Michael's and the sentiment is from an old set of letters.  I really had a lot of fun coloring Fleur.  I remember my very first post was a joy fold card.   This is also a joy-fold card, kinda like coming full circle yea?  Now let's see how it unfolds...

Just sayin' THANKS
Yep the flap under Fleur is where the first fold occurs and look at the message, it goes so well with the sentiment on the bottom.  It's part of the AmyR fence sayings from All That Scraps.  Let's see what else happens...
Just saying.. If friends were FLOWERS, I'd (insert) definitely pick you! :)
Ah, another lovely sentiment from the same AmyR set, with a little bit of an add in.  Oh and look who's peeking out from under the second flap...  Why it's... Fleur Anya again.  Even with all the colors she's still so cute!

Well there you have it.  I hope Rachel likes what I made and I hope she knows how much we appreciate all that she has done as our captain.  She's the best!!

WOW.. Photo Inspiration... Oh So Thankful!

Hello everyone!
Wow, I can't believe it's already Wednesday.  Just two more days and my term as a Farm Fresh team member will come to an end.  Until then we have two more challenges to do!  So let's get to today's challenge which is a photo inspiration

Head on over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see what inspired the DT.  Also leave them some love since it's our almost last post.  :)

When I saw this was our inspiration I immediately thought of Thanksgiving.  And what better way to celebrate than with some pumpkins?  I loved the patterns on the table cloth and the glass mugs.  The colors were very Fall-like so I went with that theme.  Here's what I came up with:
Oh so Thankful with Oliver
Now when looking for an image I had to sort through several until I got to an oldie Oliver stamp (O&A My Fav Things).  I just had to figure out how I could incorporate a pumpkin into the image.  I inked up the image and wiped away the fish bowl he was originally carrying.  Then with a pencil first, I drew in the lines to make a pumpkin.  When I was satisfied with my lines I went over them with the same color using my Memento pen.  Last thing was to color him up with my Copics.  Not too shabby if I do say so myself.  :)
The rest is a very simple layout.  The patterned papers are K&Company, I thought they resembled the table cloth in a way.   The cs is from an old DCWV fall stack and ties in all the reddish colors.  isn't the ribbon awesome? It was a gift from Irina, I love how fluffy the bow is.  Must find more of this gorgeous ribbon.  The glass beads represent the mugs on the table.  Lastly the sentiment is from the Spotlight kit and was perfect for my card.

Alrighty friends, time for you to get your thinking and creative caps on and show us what you get out of the picture.  I'll be back in the galleria catching up today, so let's see who links up first.  Hope you enjoy my share and that it brings you a smile to your 1/2 way to Friday day.

The W.O.W. challenge is open until Tuesday; entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner is chosen by random draw and wins a free digi of choice!

Please upload your challenge cards/projects to TGF Galleria > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Which One Wednesday > Photo Inspiration #4

Don't forget to add your link to in-links at the bottom of the post and if you remember also to the SCS site.  Thanks!!

Mahalo for stopping by, have a wonderful day!!

Monday with Lollipop Crafts & my September SSS

Please scroll down for my Farm Fresh Mystery Monday challenge post.  :)

Hey everyone!
Are you ready for another fun challenge with the Lollipop crafts team?  This week is anything goes.  Woo Hoo!!   It's been a month and so far I hope you are all enjoying the wonderful inspirations from both the A & T teams.  It's been a lot of fun for me to create something based on the theme of the challenge and getting to play with the wonderful images.  Head on over to the Lollipop Crafts blog to see both teams showing off their inspirational projects and don't forget to let us all know what you think.  :)

So let's see, I made this card for my September Secret Swap Sister (aka Secret Sister Swap), who will not be named because it's well... a secret.  (haha)  It's also because I don't want her to know I was so excited to get her.  So the theme for the SSS was to use red, orange or brown on the card or project.  Well I decided to use all three.  I recently received the cute Swiss Pixie Sunflower Lula & C.C. Designs Cutter sunflower embossing die from All That Scraps.  So I went for a fun fall colored card.

Swiss Pixie Sunflower Lula & CC Designs Cutter Sunflower
I made this fun gate fold with one of the sunflowers as the closure.  There were a lot of layers to the card that it became pretty stiff when I tried to close it.  Hopefully my SS won't have too much trouble with it.   The sunflowers were colored with Copics, the stems are twine.  The dp is from Basic Grey (Ambrosia) and the cardstock is from Bazzil and Neenah.

I've been making a conscious effort to do something with the inside of my cards.  I love what my fellow FFC DT Sparkle did with the inside of a couple of her cards.  So I did the same.  I made a bit of a mess, but I hope my SSS doesn't hold it against me.  (hehe)

"If friends were flowers, I'd pick you"
I stamped the pretty Amy R Fence sentiment, also from All That Scraps, in spiced marmalade and Lula in lady bug red.  I distressed the inside of the card with the same spiced marmalade using a sponge.  The right side has a pocket that I can slip something fun in.  I hope my secret sister likes this card and the goodies I am sending her.

Alrighty Lollipop friends, make sure to upload your card or project to this week's post.  Can't wait to see what you all make.  Have fun!!

Mahalo for stopping by, hope you enjoyed my share and have a fantastic week!!!  :)

Mystery Monday with.........Naomi!!

Hello everyone!
I hope you all had a great weekend.  I am a little sad, this is my last Mystery Monday post for the Farm Fresh Challenge team and yes this is my last week.  When I was first asked to join the new team I was so over the top excited.  It's been my dream to be a part of the Farm and to join a fabulous group of ladies whom I admire and who inspire me all the time has been so fantastic.  Getting to inspire you all has been so much fun.  I hope you all keep coming back to the Farm to not only continue playing in the challenges but also to cheer on the new DT.  I am positive they will be fantastik and will keep you on your toes like we did.  Now we've still got a week to be together so for now let's see who's this week's Mystery Monday case.
This week our fabulous captain Rachel got to pick the card and boy did she pick a beauty.  Here is Naomi's beautiful card featuring the original Princess Anya...
Hello Princess by Naomi
Isn't this one beautiful?  Rachel picked a good one!  I remembered seeing this in the gallery under the Royals challenge, thought it was beautiful.  Love the colors and look at the hair!  The colors are so fun and that castle is a terrific touch.  Check out the awesome inspiration from the DT here

So I kept it as much like the card as possible.  I had an alterior motive for my card.  I plan to give it to my friend's daughter for her birthday at the end of October.  So let's get to it...

Princess no. 2
I had so much coloring this darling little girl.  It's the first time she had ink from me and boy what a shame that I didn't get to use her a lot sooner.  But better late than never huh?  The sentiments are from two retired sets.  The dp is from the DCWV, Sweet stack.  I thought it went perfectly with the theme I was going for, plus the colors were so fun, especially with the sparkles.  I don't have any twinery twine, but I do have embroidery floss so I used two colors here, I think it looks pretty good.   Last but certainly not least is the castle.  I actually sketched out the one from Naomi's card and cut it out and colored it with Copics.  Glittered the turrets and then adhered it to the Copic colored background of blue sky and green grass.  That was a lot of fun.

Alrighty everyone, it's time for you to help us case Naomi this week.  Don't forget to add your card to the following sites: TGF Gallery, the Inlinks link at the bottom of this week's MM post & SCS.  Aaannnndddd!!!! You now have two ways to play! You can either CASE the card OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Meaning that you can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.

The Mystery Monday contest runs until Sunday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.

The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF single stamp of choice, so good luck!

Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays >Naomi

Mahalo for stopping by, hope you come back the rest of the week for my final posts for the Farm Fresh Challenge team.  We have our WOW & FFF challenges left, with a fun finale on Friday.   Be sure to stop by the FFC blog for all the fun.  Have a fantastic Monday my friends.

If the broom fits...

Happy Friday everyone!!

So what's today's theme challenge?  Well, it's all about Halloween today. Yay!!  Can't believe I've made so many Halloween projects and it's not even October yet.  I think it's because all the fun papers that is available, and of course the cool images to go with them.  You have to jump on over to the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see the fantastic Halloween themed projects the DT is showcasing.  Pretty fabulous if I do say so, and yes I do. hehehe.

So sorry my post is late. It's been a pretty busy week and I just finished my card for today's challenge a few minutes ago.   Mind you it's really simple, I just didn't have too much time to create something with more umph!   I hope the colors and the fun paper make up for it.   If not, then Miss Hallo Witch Anya will.  hehehe.

I told you it was simple, but I love the contrast in colors and that paper is one of my favorites.  Love the colors and she's just adorable.  I used a MS fence punch and one of my new spellbinder purchases was that haunted house.  Added some stickles to her hat and parts of her dress.  She was a lot of fun to color and I think although this is simple, it's still a lot of fun.   The sentiment cracks me up!

Well friends, this is gonna be short and sweet.  I hope you get to play along and can't wait to see the projects.  I know I haven't been to the Gallery for a while and I will make up for that tomorrow.  Please make sure to post  your projects to the gallery.

The FFF challenge is open until Thursday, 12pm CST.

You all have a great Friday and a fantastik weekend!!  Mahalo for stopping by!

I {heart} rainbows!!

Happy Wednesday!!
Today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog we are playing with rainbows!!   Well no, not the real thing, just the colors.  (hehehe)  We want you to incorporate the colors of the rainbow in your project.  To see what rainbow makers the DT are, please head on over to the Farm Fresh blog.  :)

I had a lot of fun making my rainbow inspired card.  I used all of the colors in the rainbow and created this fun dimensional card.

I picked the Fairies from the new clear stamps set.   Had so much fun coloring them all.  Each is colored with the same rainbow colors just in different ways.  Their hair is two-toned and their wings are all sparkly.  Had fun coloring up the center image.  Used the colors of the rainbow and sponged each using my cloud stencil.  Kept the mushrooms a neutral color so that the rainbow colors would stand out.  When I took this picture I did several different backdrops, but the black really made the colors pop!  I really enjoyed making this card.

Alrighty, time to play with some rainbow colors.  The W.O.W. challenge is open until Tuesday; entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner is chosen by random draw and wins a free digi of choice!
Don't forget to use the inlinks to upload your card as well as the Galleria.  Please upload your challenge cards/projects to TGF Galleria > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Which One Wednesday > sketch 11, your blog, or SCS, and link up on today's FFC post!

Mahalo for stopping by!!  Have a fantastic Wednesday!!

Sweet November Halloween Review

Hello everyone!
Hope you are all having a fantastic week.  Over on the All That Scraps blog we are reviewing the September releases.  These fun and cute releases, which include the fabulous Halloween collection from Sweet November, some new CC cutters, a new Laugh Line girl, Swiss Pixies, and a little Kiki are currently in the shop and are waiting for you to pick them up.  Hop on over to the blog to see the wonderful DT reviews.  A lot of fun and cute inspirations to see.  So whatcha waitin' for? :)

I have the Halloween bug right now, and that made me create a frame using sweet Hilda with Vlad.  I used some cool papers from Echo Park (Apothecary Emporium stack).

Hilda with Vlad - Sweet November
I used a 4x4 wooden frame from Michael's and also found a cool wooden bat.  I paper pieced Hilda's hat and colored in the rest of her outfit with Copics.  Cutie pie Vlad is being shadowed by the big bat.  I also colored him up with Copics and gave him a cool orange tint.  The sentiment is from a CTMH
sentiment pack I had, I stamped it with orange pigment ink onto black cs, then wet embossed it with clear powder, but you can hardly tell.  I will post a clearer picture below.  The goo on the bottom of the opening is a punch from Martha Stewart.  It was perfect for my frame, matched to good coming out of Hilda's pot.

Here are some close up pictures of the frame.

Alrighty my friends, hope you enjoyed my review preview of Amy Young's wonderful Halloween stamp, be sure to pop on over to the ATS blog for inspiration and to the ATS store to purchase your new stamps just in time for some Halloween fun.

Mahalo again for stopping by and I hope you enjoyed my contribution to this awesome and fun review preview for September.  Have a wonderful day!

A pumpkin treat bag

If you are looking for my Farm Fresh Monday post just scroll down to the next post.  :)

This week over at the Lollipop Crafts blog Team-T is hosting this week's challenge.  Your challenge is to make anything BUT a card.  Pretty simple yea?  Well sometimes it's not so easy especially if you love to make cards.  But I'm sure you'll come up with something fun.  Make sure to stop over at the Lollipop Crafts blog to see the rest of the inspirations from Team-T.

I was wracking my brain trying to figure out what I wanted to do.  I saw this pumpkin basket I had lying around and didn't want to cheat and just use it.  It inspired me to make my own using a couple circles, two strips of paper and a fun image.  Here's my anything BUT a card project featuring the newest Sweet November friends, Hazel & Webster which you can currently purchase at the ATS store right now along with her other new friends.

This was a lot of fun to make, and maybe if I have more time I'll make more.  She was super fun to color and I know there is a lot of orange but I think it looks fine.  Can you see the face on the pumpkin?  Well I free-hand cut that just using scraps of black paper.  Anyone can do that.  I think this would make a fun project for the kids.  Plus you can use up your scraps.  :)
This week's sponsor is Robyn's Fetish.   Robyn's Fetish Digital Stamps And More is happy to offer the winner of this challenge 5 digital stamps or 4 digital stamps and 1 digital paper set of their choice.
How awesome is that?  Way!  So make sure to link up your projects using inlinks at the bottom of the Lollipop Crafts Challenge #49 post to be entered to win this fabulous prize.  Have fun!

MM with....Tracey Wilson!!

Hello Friends!
Hope you're all doing well this Monday morning and ready for a new challenge over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog.  Today Mama is hosting the Mystery Monday case and she chose a really fun one.  Here's TWilson's beautiful island card featuring the beautiful Hula Anya.

Aloha by TWilson1424
Isn't this beautiful?  I love the theme and the way she distressed the paper makes this feel like an old 50's style card.  Love how the bow looks like part of the foliage.  Terrific job and pick!  Now why don't you stop over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog to see what the rest of the DT came up with.  You're sure to be inspired.

I created a card using a similar layout, but the theme is for the upcoming Halloween season.  Here's my take on this week's card:
Trick or Treat with Skeleton Ian (digi)
Here is Hallo Skeleton Ian popping up on this fun Halloween themed card.  He was really fun to color.  I thought he would look great with green skin and redish-orange hair.  I recently got the fence and the spiders from ATS so they were a really fun addition to the card.  That pumpkin is a stamp I found in the $1 bin at Michael's.  Free-hand cut his face and then distressed the edges to give it a warmer look.  I hope  you like my Halloween card for this week's Monday case.  Can't wait to see what you all have up your sleeves.

The Mystery Monday contest runs until Sunday, entries are due by 12 PM CST.  The winner is chosen by random draw and will win a free TGF single stamp of choice, so good luck!

Please post your cards in the TGF Galleria - Home > Farm Fresh Challenges 2011 > Mystery Mondays > TWilson1424.  We also want to remind you that you should also use the inlinks button at the bottom of the post.

Don't forget! You now have two ways to play! You can either CASE the card OR you can use it as an inspiration piece. Meaning that you can make the same style of card, use the same colors, etc, just as long as we can tell that you got your ideas from the showcased card.

Alrighty friends, I hope you have a terrific start to your Monday and a terrific week. Mahalo for stopping by!

FFF - White out!

Happy Friday everyone!

Today over at the Farm Fresh Challenge blog we want you to white out your project.  What exactly does that mean?  Well it should be mostly white, with as few of any other color as possible.  To see how white the DT went click HERE.  Now the Galleria is currently up and running, but to be safe we are asking you to also link via In-links at the bottom of each challenge post. Better to be safe yea?

For my card, I really went white out, with some sparkle.  Not much coloring here, just ink, stickles and embossing powder.

Fly Away!!
I actually really like how the card turned out IRL.  I used some embossing folders, punches, die cuts and Spellbinders.  And yes, embossing powders, Stickles and some leftover ribbon.  The clear pebbles were a last minute addition and I really like them.  The image is part of the discontinued Fly Away set.  My first time to ink it up and I think it looks pretty cool stamped in white with the sparkle embossing powder bringing it to life.

Here's a close up of the hot air balloon:

Ok, time for you to play along.  We hope you can join us, and remember as long as your card is mostly white that counts and of course any TGF image.  Can't wait to see what you all create.  You have until next Thursday before 12pm CST to upload your card/project to the Galleria.  Good luck!!

Have a fanstastic Friday and a wonderful weekend.  Aloha & Mahalo for stopping by!!

Hugs,
Leanne

Spotlight Sponsor... Di's Digital Downloads

This week's Sponsor Spotlight over at Lollipop Crafts is

Di's Digi downloads

Owner and designer,  Diane Carubia creates the cutest images that take me back to my childhood.  Whimsical and just darn cute is what I saw when I looked around her site.  I know you will all enjoy her images.  Here's a little background on how she got started:

I have been drawing since a child and studied graphics at College many years ago, I know work as a medical photographer part time but my love was always drawing. I started cardmaking about 4 years ago when I bought my daughter a cardmaking kit which we did together, but i'm afraid I got the bug! My daugther preffered scrapbooking. I then started looking online at other blogs and this then became my passion and I loved sharing my cards with likeminded people. I love stamping and loved finding images, but sometimes I could not find what I wanted so i started to draw myself.  This then has become my second addiction and I have never looked back, I love thinking of new images and it's just fabulous to see others take them and make them into beautiful work of art. Long may it continue!

Being able to draw and draw well to create some really terrific images and scenes is to me, pretty awesome. :)

This week's challenge is to use brads or eyelets on your project.  We've all got them in our stash and now is the time to bust them out.  This week's winner will receive his or her choice of 5 digi images or 3 clear stamp images. That's awesome!  Pop on over to the LPC blog to see what the A & T teams have come up with.

Diane was kind enough to let us pick an image to use for our spotlight.  Here is the image we got to play with , it's a cute little scene called "Butterfly Cookie."

Now how to incorporate brads and eyelets to this scene might seem pretty challenging yea?  Well here's what I made and boy I really love how it turned out.  Hope you like it too.

Wanna Play?
Since the scene was the focal point I didn't do too much to it.  If you look around you'll see a couple ladybugs and another butterfly flitting around.  Those are eyelets that I bought a looooonnnngggg time ago, and have always wanted to play with.  I added the dots to their bodies and drew in the legs and head.  Same with the butterfly, drew in the white dots and then the rest of the body.

Added clouds to the background and some grass.  Framed it out with black and that fun bright checkered SEI paper.  The sentiment is from The Greeting Farm's retired sentiment stamp set.  I used tiny bitty brads from Stampin' Up that I also purchased a loooonnnnnggg time ago.  I just love those guys, they are so small, but really cool.

Well that's all for me, now don't forget to play along with us this week, I mean for a chance to win that amazing prize?  Come on' sounds like a no-brainer to me.  :)

Mahalo for stopping by.  Have a great day!
Hugs,
Lilo

WOW - Sketch # 11

Happy Hump day everyone!!  Hope you are all having a great week.

On behalf of the FFC Farmers, I want to say Thank you for your patience while the Galleria is getting fixed.  To get you up to speed, we are asking all of you to use the inlinks buttons at the bottom of each post to upload your project for each challenge.  We know the techs are working hard to get everything back, and want to say thank you to them also.

Today's challenge is a sketch by our awesome sketch-captain, Rachel.  Here's the sketch:

Head on over to the FFC blog to see what the DT has come up with.  I hear there are some kitties roaming around.  hehehe..

For my card I used one of the new Miss Anya Bags girls.

I tried my hand again at pleats, but I know forsure I definitely need more practice! hahaha!  I colored her hair using the BVs and you can't really tell, but the fun blue paper has stickles all around it.  This can be used for any occassion, even Christmas.  We'll see where it ends up.  More than likely with the rest of my un-used cards. hahaha..

Alright my friends, time for your to get sketchy.  Don't forget to upload your card using the INLINKS at the bottom of today's WOW post.   You have until next Tuesday, 12pm CST to link your card via Inlinks, unless otherwise noted on the blog.

Again, thank you so much for your patience.  You are all FABULOUS!!

Big hugs,
Leanne
